Diamond is the first figment to ever exist in Varyville. It was manifested by all ancient Varyville citizens, collectively. Diamond's intentions, however, were not what the citizens thought they would be. As a result, it proceeded to destroy the city in an instant, killing all of the citizens.
In the present era, Director P. reasoned with Diamond after discovering eachother in an ash-filled library. Diamond agreed to stay in prison on the condition that Direct finds a way to bring people from the outside world into the inside world.
Years after this exchange, and years after talking with other prisoners through the walls, driving them to madness, Diamond mysteriously was found dissolved in it's prison cell. Since then, her fragments Papercone and Shard have roamed the city peacefully. They are not considered citizens, but they do not pose a threat to the city besides occasional mischief.
Unlike other figments, Diamond is the only one who was not originally a Varyville citizen.
