Crow is a kid who isn't afraid to speak his mind, even if he knows that what he has to say is blatantly against the words of Director P. He is the fourth person of the Marquet family, and the last one of the present era. The Marquets are a family who were doomed to live in Varyville due to the fact that a god cursed them many years ago. (See Karth Marquet, Castus Marquet, and Mei Marquet. Prior to his 13th birthday, he was always upset about how children must hide their faces in public. To him, the concept was unbelievably useless. On his 13th birthday, he was met with disappointment when he learned that he would not be allowed to wear a visor that shows both of his eyes, due to one of them being blind since birth. His visor was custom made for him by Avian, who tried to make it special for him while also following the orders of Direct.
After finding a suspiciously clean spellbook in his basement, he summons The Sun and The Moon behind his school. These two gods grant him 3 wishes, on the condition that these wishes will only be in affect in his own personal alternate universe, and he would die in the real Varyville. He quickly accepts this offer without considering what this might cause among his family members.
After experiencing his own personal alternate reality for a good while, and using two of his wishes, he can hardly bear how uncanny and lifeless everyone around him is, especially his family. Mei was much less opinionated, and didn't engage in dangerous activities like she usually would. Castus was so welcoming and extroverted that it made Crow uncomfortable. He never got to meet his older brother Karth in the real Varyville, so in an attempt to change this, Karth 'existed'. However, he only appeared as a vague, blurry figure, since Crow had no idea what he even looks like. He uses his final wish to return to the real Varyville, but The Sun and The Moon refuse his wish, and remind him that he is dead. Crow demands that he is revived in some way. As a result, Crow returns to Varyville in the form of a figment.
