Allen is a barista. He's calm and takes things at his own pace. This doesn't parallel very well with the group he is a part of; The Rubies. (See other members of The Rubies; Moxie, Dalve Marquet, Carousel, and Prime.)
As a result, he is somewhat stubborn. He doesn't understand why all of his weapon-wielding and otherwise skillful friends need a barista in their group. The truth is, he's the closest thing to a mediator that they have. The Rubies also think it's just funny when Allen throws a hot cup of coffee at robots.
